new to in line

I am a hold out i have been useing a side lick for years and am the last in my group to go to a in line.
I got a rossie singel shot combo i just got a scope for both the rifel barrels and was reading the owners manual it said to use tripel 7 pellets.
Being new to in lines i have never used pellets or trippel 7 powder
so i was wondering
Is tripel 7 cleaner burning then pyrodex and does tripel 7 make a loose powder and does it matter if its a pellit or loose the owners manual says to use pellets

wrenchman,

Triple 7 is cleaner burning than pyrodex, and water soluable. As far as loads go, I've seen little difference between loose 777 and the pellets (if the manual suggests pellets, that's where I'd start). You can get 30 or 50 grain pellets, so you can incrementally see which combinations work the best in your rifle (80, 90, or 100 grains). We've had extremely good luck with two 50 grain pellets and the 240 gr hornandy XTP sabots. Good luck, and let us know how it shoots!

They are awsome and a blast to shoot.
I use 150 gr. and it knocks the deer right off their feet.

dont feel bad

originally i liked the idea of in lines about as much as i like hearing that nextel walkie talkie beep beep everywhere i go. but then PA gave us a special early ml season and soon my region will be ml or shotgun only so i bought one. i couldnt be more thrilled, there are plenty of threads around with me defending and bragging about inlines. and my flinter still gets some use.
I do believe the 777 will run you a few more bucks/quantity than pyro. and i love the idea of two pellets and nothing loose to deal with. The key is unless you hit the nail on the head the first time, try a couple of different bullets/sabot/powder combos before accusing your gun of being a poor shooter. I am still loving powerbelts 295gr HPs
as always the only price of this info is that you report back telling us what u think of that gun, i havent heard much about it. have fun!
