Question Kayak fishing

I'm going to start fishing off my kayak and was wondering if anyone out there added anything to their kayak such as rod holders, tie-downs for carrying gear outside the cockpit, etc.. I'm already thinking of getting a set of tie-downs I saw on Rei.com but I was thinking of adding a rod holder. What have you done to your kayak to make it more comfortable?

I got a bell canoe. 10 footer. It acts like a kayak and handles like a kayak, but its open topped. I got a portable deep/fish finder, runs on d batteries. A couple of waterproof contaniers. And a couple of rod holders. Tie downs and straps to keep it all in the canoe.

The best thing i got is all the padding and cockpit extras to keep seated for a while.

Like to slow troll rapalas with it.
