question for DOM

Hey Dom, how do you think the Elite 3200 with the FireFly would work for Wildschwein and fox in the Bundesrepublik?

I have the 3-2-1 reticle on a 3200, which I used before I flew back, but Bushnell stopped putting it in the newer 3200's and is putting the FireFly in them......what do you think

Jon, I don't have any experience with that set up, but from what I read and see it'd be ok for dusk / dawn, but I don't see it working too good on a dark night -- you may have too much light in the tube and can't see out of it. Probably be ok with a moon or snow also.

The bigger problem I see with it is that it lights up the outer crosshairs and not the middle. I'm using what's called an illuminated reticle, but it's only a small dot in the middle that I can adjust the proper brightness to, and it don't take much.

Anyway, hope that helps, you'll be ok with it, just won't be able to hunt the darker nights as well. You could take it outside the next dark night and light up the firefly and see if you can see thru it, Waidmannsheil, Dom.
