Barnes Bullets?

I have seen these bullets advertised and was wondering if anybody has hunted with these bullets, and how did they perform?

Barnes

Yes and great. Been using them for yrs. 18 consecutive one-shot deer kills with five calibers. Unmatched for terminal performance. Can't push them fast enough to make 'em fail. Shot a 140 grn bullet the LENGTH of a big buck using 7/08. There is a lot of trash talk (mostly by folks that never used 'em) about poor accuracy and excessive fauling. While that may have been a problem with the early version it has long since been remedied.
Try the new TSX (triple shock X) you won't be disappointed. Check out the Barnes site for loading tips and be sure to use Barnes data.

COSSACK SPEAKS THE TRUTH. I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH HIS COMMENTS.

I'LL ADD ONE MORE COMMENT, AS OL' ELMER USED TO SAY "YOU CAN EAT RIGHT UP TO THE HOLE". THEY DON'T DESTROY GOOD MEAT. THEY ARE NOT POPCORN BULLETS.

Barnes Bullets

In reference to your question, I haven't hunted with my barnes bullets yet. I have worked up loads for them, which are actually fairly mild, I use a 30-06 that absolutely loves the 165-168 gr class of bullets, I loaded some 165 gr TSX bullets, and at a 100 yds, out of my bone stock rifle, they were shooting cloverleafs. This was really impressive since I shot 3 different recipes using the same bullets and they all worked the same. I don' know how it will work for sub cal. rifles, but Reloader 19 is the greatest thing since the inplementation of rifling twist for my 06'. Good luck

Jerry
