As I have said before:

The longer I am on this Earth, the more disgusted I get with people in general and society as a whole.

Too bad there was no front license plate on that car. However, the police should be able to do search on the make, model, and color vehicle in that area and look at all those cars. Hopefully, Illinois has traffic cameras at intersections like Montgomery County does and they will get a video of the car from the rear with its license plate as it leaves the accident scene.

All cars should be equipped with an ignition interlock system as mandatory equipment, just like air bags and seatbelts. That will save law enforcement and Court time and it will prevent a lot of stupid accidents like this.

Unfortunately Fabs,

Chicago is currently only utilizing the police surveilance cameras in the major intersections or targeted high-crime areas of the city. From what I have both read and heard, this program has been very successful so hopefully it will be expanded for emergency response and police investigations.

I actually saw this particular newscast the other evening before retiring and it just ticked me off!

I sure hope that they catch the perpetrator(s)

If I was the top dog in Chicago, so to speak, you can bet that the person driving that car would never drive another one. I don't care whether she swerved that car on purpose or not she'd become a lifelong pedestrian. Gawd but that's sickening. Best wishes.
