Looking for thumbhole stock for Ruger 77 Long Action tang safety
Does anyone know who besides Gunstock Industries( Boyd Bros) Makes a laminated thumbhole stock to fit the old model Ruger 77 tang safety long action Rifle? Would like to restock my 6.5/06 and like the feel of a thumbhole stock. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks Roy

Try Elk Ridge Stocks:
http://www.reamerrentals.com/list_of_actions.htm They advertise the standard 1/2" barrel channel, but I know they will sell you a #1 or a #3 channel as well, if you ask. |

Dear 6.5-- Richards Micro-Fit makes a stock for your rifle. I have used their stocks for over 30 yrs. I think you`ll be pleased with the various types.

Got One From Boyds!
Well Guys, After checking out my options I went and ordered a Ross Thumbhole sporter Laminated stock from Boyds. It is unfinished so I am going to have to do some sanding and also open up the barrel channel to accomadate my ER Shaw custom barrel. The stock overall is inletted well enough that I can get my barreled action into it but I am definetely going to have to do some dremel tool work here. I will post a picture of it once I am finished putting some Satin Polyurethane on the stock. Wish me luck! Roy
