My muzzy preference is the 4-blade version. They have a bit lower profile which makes it easier to get them to fly well.
I am using 115grs, but the 100gr 4-blades really work good. As far as the realtree part of it, if they cost more than the plain black muzzys, I would save my money and buy the plain. |

i too shoot the 4 blades, 90 version. i think the camo pattern on a broadhead is a little silly just to add a buck or two, but muzzy's penetrate really great even on bone. i hit one doe through both shoulders and whatched the arrow cartwheel 15 more yds.
i think you will be happy kt, not to mention they are economically priced compared to some of these 3 for 27 dollars broadheads |

Real Tree 3 pack for $20 is an option. However cabelas sells the plain version 6 pack for about $32.
The plain version is more economical. I go through a lot of broadheads in a year, so if I can save a few bucks I'll do it. |

bear razorheads
while no longer available commercially, bear razorheads regularly show on places like ebay. Fred Bear came up with the design by great trial and error. He wanted the widest cutting surface that wouldn't plane in flight with the best penetration. The problem with MOST current broadheads is that they have a trocar or pointed tip while a chisel tip is really, truley the best penetrator when it comes to bone.
It may be truthfully pointed out, however, that current archery technology is pretty much overkill; if you hit the deer in the boiler room they won't go far, and trocar OR chisel point will completely penetrate a whitetai, even if it hits bone. I'm not a big fan of mechanicals; they seem to have too many failures currently. That technology, I'm sure, will improve. I'm also not a big fan of the smaller profile heads; the bleeding is proportional to the total slicing area.

i like the muzzy.when i hunt hogs i use a 125gr 3blade.it goes thru bone better.i also use the same thing to hunt deer.the heavier weight makes it fly a little better in the texas wind

I bought the 100 grain 3 blade Muzzy. The 3 blade punches a bigger hole, 1-3/16 compared to the 125 grain which cuts only a 1" hole. Plus the 100 grain is lighter and flies faster.

I have killed several dozen big game animals with 3 blade muzzy 100 gr heads. They are one of the best flying replaceable blade heads ever to hit the market. You almost cant go wrong with them they shoot well out of nearly every set up I have ever tried them in.
I shoot trad stuff now mainly and lean heavilly towards magnus stingers these days but the compund arrows I do have sitting around are tipped with 3 bvlade 100 gr muzzys. |

I think you'll be very happy with the way Muzzys perform. I've used them with great success for many years, can't say enough good things about them.
This past spring I purchased a new bow and I decided to give mechanicals a try. I didn't give up on fixed blade totally. I'm also going to carry a couple Slick Tricks. I really am impressed by these little broadheads and they shoot very well. |
