i'm from northern kentucky, originally from dayton, ohio. when i was younger i worked in a printing plant in dayton and over half the crew i worked with was from the hazard, pikeville, harlan area of kentucky. i had to learn to speak english all over again, it wasn't that they used bad grammar but the words sounded different.
they were all good people and excellent workers. a great bunch to be associated with. the area of northern kentucky and southern ohio continue to be a basketball hotbed. but most of the schools tend to stress the academics more than the sports, with the exception of the buckeyes. xavier, cincinnati, dayton, louisville don't produce too many pro players. most of the graduates have degrees when they leave school and leave the sports behind. any way, welcome to hunt chat. their is a wealth of information available here, and a great bunch of folks.

Kygal,
Welcome aboard. I was going to tell you that there is nothing Sweet about Skeet, but I see you caught your mistake. All kidding aside, Skeet and I have hunted together and shot clays together and he is a great guy when he isn't getting me in trouble with the women. Whenever there are women involved, he is always starting trouble, especially in restaurants. Glad to see that you are taking a look at the rest of the board. There are a lot of guys and gals on here that know a thing or two about hunting and shooting. I have learned a good deal from visiting the board over the last couple of years. However, the board is really great for meeting some great people. If I had to guess, I have met about 10+ people from this board and all of them are great people. By the way, I don't quite hear your accent on here. LOL

Bow Hunt Western Kentucky
Hi fellas,
First time visitor...I'm searching for advice on a Western Kentucky Bow hunt and stumbled upon your chat site. Looks great. Anyway, myself and 2 buddies are looking into the outfitter, Mark Smith and his place called Bowhunting Western Kentucky. Anyone heard of, or used him before? We're PA boys looking for a quality hunt (P&Y) At an affordable cost, and Kentucky seems to fit the bill? Thanks. |

No P&Y deer in PA I take it. Come down to Maryland and you can pick from several.

Thanks fellas
We decided to go with Copper's Creek Outfitters in Rock Island County, Illinois. Lamon'ts looked good. It was a tough call. A lot of research went into picking our first booked hunt, and I'd like to thank you guys for helping me out. We were close to going to western Kentucky, but decided to go for Illinois. We'll see how it goes. We're going Oct. 30th to Nov. 3rd.

Welcome to Chat
Welcome to Cha
I to live in the south, work in a Hospital but no Tax work. I have been hunting for 50 years, I have a lot of hunting stories. Say I have a question. I watch both OLN and ODC, I am getting different messages from both. What is Fair Chase. If you watch TV is bait for Bears fair, is a food plot fair, or corn in the ground fair. Does it make it fair if the Hunting area is fenced but is 2000 acres. I have phyical problems there is no way I could stay 30 days in the Rockies (also money) looking for Elk as the EASTMAN'S do. Is the trophy you take, Fence or no fence, food plot or not. your trophy not the worlds. I don't hunt in small areas for trophies, that to me is not fair to me. I can get around OK but Rockies are out. What are your thoughts Roe Buck
