Russian M95 Winchesters.

On another site a poster advises that there are Russian contract M1895 7.62x54R rifles coming to the U.S., has anyone heard any information on prices and conditions of these guns?

I handled a .30-06 M95 rifle back in 1958, but have not seen any for a long time. I did see Sam Elliot using a M95 in the movie "Rough Riders" and decided I need one in my collection. I have a feeling 85+ years of Russian use may have taken its toll on the Russian rifles. I will settle for a Good+ M95.

No word on 1895 Russians

I suspect the shooting press would be awash with reports of this arrival. To date, no word in any of the publications or on the sites I frequent. All the best...

Gil,

Badger told me about this information. I agree, I have seen nothing in any gun magazine. It apparently was on a TV outdoor show and the rest is history. Be well.
