dogs for shed hunting

Any opinions on using a chocolate lab - bluetick mix for shed hunting? Training could start at 4 months old.

that will be interesting, just not sure how to train one for sheds. we run across a few when we are hog hunting our dogs like to chew on them, but i don;t think there is a scent
