Need hot bread in the field for lunch. Mix the following:

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon baking soda
1/4 tablespoon salt

Mix above in ziploc bag, carry in pack, when ready to make lunch, mix in 3/4 cup of water, making a stiff dough. cut hardwood stick, peel off bark, wrap dough around stick, hold over campfire coals untill done... IT'S GREAT TO HAVE HOT BREAD FOR LUNCH !!!

or double mixture, small cast iron skillet, set on coal until crust forms on bottom, turn then prop skillet with bread facing coals, let heat finish baking . when done thump with finger, when hear hollow sound, it's Done !
