Another Krag story

My nephew found a lovely sporterized .30/40 Krag with the original sights (which are worth as much as the sporterized rifle). The bore is rough and is not unusual for a rifle that is 108 years old. He got the rifle for $100.00. Once a new barrel is installed, the rifle will be like new. It is getting hard to find Krags these days. All the best...

Gil.

I have a M96 Krag Carbine that has a new M1903A3 barrel fitted. I like my Krag very much and have carried it many days in the PA deer woods. I agree that it is hard to find mint and original Krags these days. I keep looking about, but they are scarce. My sporter stocked carbine suits me fine.
