Lilred's Rant of the week....tv huntin!!

As I was innocently readin posts...TV playin in the background...I wont even gonna do a rant of week today..until out the blue I see it on tv...here's this man in a blind...and all these deer w/ spots on em is walkin by...then come the elk. So the elk is right at his stand...you could hit him with a stick. now keep in mind..this fool is in a ground blind..(ok they just said his name...steve scotts outdoor guide...had to write that down fore i fergit) so anyways...he shoots (a bow) at the deer with the spots on it..the friggin elk is still standin there...he hits the deer...it drops right of the bat and starts floppn...elk still standin there....he git out of the blind...walkin up to the deer (that's still kickin btw) and the friggin elk is still standin there!!! He shot right by his head out of the blind!! There was at least 5 elk standin there watchin him git out the blind and walkin w/ the cameraman. They never move..the keep on eatin and doin their thing.

OK mr scott...let me enlighten you fer a minute. To go huntin....you must first go into the woods. Then you must hunt wild game. Git the hell outta the blind and sit behind a fell over tree er somethin. If you make a wrong turn and go into the zoo like you did on that show...turn around and follow the fence back out to the main trail. Do not feed the animals.

I wanna have my own tv show...bring all them tv fools down to va and hunt...lmao..would be like droppin a chicken with no legs in a foxhole...we'll call the show "Droppin like flies"

What good is a week with out a LILRED RANT

There aren't many hunting shows around any more that aren't phony. there are some that are fair chase but not many.

I used to watch Ted Nugent once in a while until I watched him hunting turkeys from a blind down in Texas. There are four nice long beards running in to the call. They get in perfect shooting position and slam to a stop.

They start frantically pecking the ground. Of course Teddy makes the shot with his bow and brags how great a hunter he is.

The next episode shot the next day shows the remaining gobblers again charging into shooting position and again start pecking to get the BAIT on the ground.

Am I sad that Teddy left Michigan and moved to Texas. I don't think that you have to make a guess.

Those hunting TV shows are for people that just started hunting, and even then, they give a false impression of the sport. That is why people nowadays feel as though they should be slaughtering animals every time they take to the field or woods.

Personally, I think those TV shows insult what little intelligence I have. I feel the same way about most professional sports nowadays too.

LOL, I'm gonna agree with this one. Several years ago while
hunting on the Gore Range, observed a nice camp and set up getting saddled up and heading into the hills.....camera crews every where.Four hours later, there was no sign of this base camp...trucks/tents....anything. Guess they moved on to a game farm up by Hayden! I'm like Fabs....getting tired of watching the setups.
