Welcome to HC and Waidmannsheil Bill. Looks like you enjoyed a nice opener !! Are those double triggers on your SxS? Don't see too many SxS nowadays, at least where I'm at. Anyway, good shooting, nice pic. You use a dog or just walk em up? Dom.

itsa CZ-huglu 20 double triggers & extractors

my other sxs is even nicer

spent 7 hours walking around the desert by myself, no dog, hunting dog requires attention 365 days a year, quail only require attention on a few days here and there...

I've never hunted quail, but I'm sure I would if we had them where I live. How are they to eat and how do you cook them up?

Nothing wrong with hunting alone, it's good to clear out your head.

Nice bird gun, I'm almost ashamed to be seen bird hunting with my 3 1/2" semi-auto 12 guage in camo finish. I even use steel shot all the time because I drift onto some public land that requires it. Not exactly a classic set up, but I enjoy it.

Bill, just had to check out this CZ-Huglu thing, you see, I have a Huglu o/u bought before CZ started distribution of Huglu. As far as I can tell, they're still made in Turkey. Anyway, the price was right on mine, I don't shoot it much, but it's there for a buddy if he needs a gun, thanks, Dom.

P.S. So now I'm curious, what's your other SxS? I have two, one is a Suhl (German) pre-Berlin wall days, the other on a drilling, (Sauer) 16ga, pre WWII days.
