Want a New .204
I've had my Savage .204 Mod. 12FV, heavy barrel, 26" for a couple of years and it is a tack driver, but recently I've had a desire to get more of a "carry gun", still in a .204 (cause I have all the reloading stuff and don't want to change calibers). I've been checking out the other Mfgs. i.e. Kimber, Remington, Browning, CZ, etc. You can't argue with experience so I'm putting the question to you here at the forum. What other Mfgs. should I consider for a .204 Carry Gun? Thanks for your input.

The CZ 527 is real hard to beat. I got very little copper fouling even during break in. It comes with a single set trigger which is adjustable, and I think the best factory trigger on the market. I have one that will easly shoot 1/2 in at 100 yrds with 32 gr. Serrias and abt. in the .7`s with the 39 gr Serrias. with Horndays it`s not as good, in the .6`s with 32`s and the best I`ve got so far with the 39`s in 2 in plus. Weight is abt 6lbs. and a real joy to shoot. all of the guns you named are good guns, but for a carry gun I think the CZ is the pick of the litter.

>204 Carry gun
Above responses are correct..go with a CZ 527...I have three; first one was a .223, I custom bbl to .204 when the printed the dimentions and didn't even have ammo out..it shoots .5" all day long with 28 gr WW 748 and the 40 Berger HPBT....Have a HB fact .204, it's similar...and another american lw 527 in .223, it shoots .75 with black hills, etc. reman ammo and 50 nosler bt's...best buy on the market you will be very pleased! I have 17 of the last 18 shots at coyotes = 1 shot kills...
