Fabsroman, about the pit.

A few months back we were talking about how I was going to take an old tank and make a pit blind out of it. Well that turned out to be to much trouble, getting it out in the feild, building the inside and on and on. But it just so happened we had an old pontoon boat. So we turned that into a blind, put it in the hole where the tank was going to go. So I dont have any pictures about a tank blind for you. But if we ever get some water I'll have plenty pictures of dead birds.

Thanks for remembering our discussion. Now, how about some pics of the pontoon boat that you used for a blind. I might be able to swing that too.

If I ever get out hunting, I might have some pics of dead birds for you too.

Sorry

I keep forgetting to take my camera to the feild. BUt let me tell you about crappy luck. I got a new shotgun for christmas and I have yet to kill a bird with it. Last year was my 1st year for for waterfowlin an d igot spoiled. Everytime I went I either killed limit or within 1. There are no birds here. The only thing I 've killed is a crow that flew over New Years Day. Gun shoots great. I may be able to get some pics this weekend since I'm taking my cousin on the Juvenile deer hunt. Also I killed my first mountable deer the friday before christmas. 9 point with 18 inch spread. Very exciting for me hunted for over 10 years and finally killed a trophy.

You sound like me. I hunted whitetails for 10 years before I killed an antlered buck. Just so happened that it was also something worth mounting. The next year I killed another one worth mounting.

I hear you about being spoiled with the waterfowling. About 2 years ago, I had so many birds flying around my townhouse it was insane. Now, even though I had some fly by yesterday that I could have easily killed, I haven't seen many. I'm going to try to get out and do some hunting next week, and I will try to take some pics if we get anything.

Send me some pics if you get a chance.
