Egg Shoot
Occasionally, I read of references to "egg shoots". Apparently this is shooting at eggs a fairly long range and is quite challenging. Does anyone know how these are conducted? I would like to get one going at our local range.

$1-$2 a shot, Winner takes half the pot, club keeps the other.
Just like you think, put an egg out there, different classes of guns/ranges. But the gist of it is just that, break the egg, and win the money. Depending on the amount of shooters, how many benches you have, you may want to break it up into numerous groups. You're normally looking at least around 500 yards to make it interesting. If you have some good shooters with good guns, that isn't a task. If your range can handle it, then that's where I'd start. If it doesn't then shorten the range to 100-150 and require offhand shooting.

I dunno a 200 yard 22 rimfire iron sight only shoot could be a hoot.

Egg Shoot
Thanks fellows, I met a local guy who moved here from CA. He said they had them there and told me all about them. Basically, set them up however you want to. You make the rules. Thanks again.
