Friend takes #12 ranked Wildebeest
My friend was just advised his gold medal Blue Wildebeest would rank number 12 in the forthcoming SCI record book. We both took outstanding bulls last year in the same area on the same day. We were hunting apart however 1x1. All 15 of his trophies made the record book.
Good hunting, grayghost

Grayghost,
You tease us! Tell about a record blue wildebeest, and then not post a photo, measurement or anything to let us see how nice a No. 12 SCI really looks. Picture and hunt story if possible please? In good hunting. Andrew McLaren

My friend took this bull in the Eastern Cape on a ranch that belongs to a friend of mine. They alternate years on taking Blue's off the ranch. Two years ago: zero. Last year: 3 total. This bull was taken with a .300 RUM.
![]() Mine had a spread of 29 inches with a total score of 81 if I remember (I haven't entered any of my trophies yet). This bull was taken at 298 yards with a .280 using 160 grain Accubonds. One shot was all that was needed. ![]()
