				better to be lucky

so after my other thread about a friend who cant hit a barn, i got mine yesterday, but it turned out to be awsome. monday i had hunted a puddle that had a ton of birds there but none came back after a crazy afternoon storm from hell. well last night i got out there, and just walking in i was kicking birds of the creek by the house left and right. got to the pond and was dissapointed to see 6 black ducks and 10 mallards leave. so as i was walking up with bbb's in the gun i see 12 buffleheads on the pond. they started to get out of town so with 3 shots i missed my only chance at a buffle head. as my heart sank i saw they turned over the field and were gonna go right over the top, so i slammed home a #2 black cloud and swung strait over the top and dumped him! later on 2 geese on 1 shot and two green heads on 1 shot both accidental occurences! that duck has made my season, i will try to get pics on. wish i was out this morn kt |

way to go KT, I think buffles are really a pretty lil bird, double on geese and green heads aint bad either.Sounds like you are getting more for the buck on those black clouds. maybe this cold snap will push a new wave toward us.

Great job KT. I really need to get out and do some hunting. This weather should be really good for it.
