Is this SA 7.62 ammo

I need some help identifying some ammo.
Unfortunately I don't have a photo yet.
It is in a battle pack.

The pack is labeled like this:

Lot 80A6 79

The brown cardboard box is labeled:
20 Round
7,62x51mm
Ball R1. M1.
80
A 679

I suspect this is south african ammo.
Any ideas what its worth?

Midway, Cheaper Than Dirt and few other sites have 7.62 military ammo. You could check to see what the current prices are for this ammo. Hope this helps. All the best...
