More anti- efforts from Mass state

I often check the NRA-ILA website for (legislation-related) info for my state (of imprisonment in) Massachusetts. The below article (from May 7) is just another example of the liberal government's efforts to violate our second amendment rights.

http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Read.aspx?id=4841

Here is an except:

"Yesterday, Governor Deval Patrick (D) filed legislation that would severely curtail the rights of gun owners in the Commonwealth. The bill entitled, “An Act to Reduce Firearm Violence,” is in essence a repeat performance of Chapter 180 of the Acts of 1998.

Among other things, this bill would:

  • Limit firearm purchases to one per 30-day period;
  • Require the private transfer of all firearms to be conducted through a federally licensed firearms dealer, and;
  • Allow the Colonel of the Department of State Police to destroy surrendered firearms instead of auctioning them for sale."

I think the government (especially Massachusetts) has other more pressing issues to deal with than this. Kinda makes me want to get more involved in the political arena to fight this nonsense.

You would think that Cadallic would have more to worry about than this. Its probably not going anywhere according to my Rep. I was in his face about a lot of things last week and the last thing on their adjenda is gun control. Chances are this is just a political move by Cadallic. Positioning for the next election whatever that might be. But then again don't count it out.

The most ironic thing I found about this move by the Gov is that he wants to regulate "private" transfers into the "public" domain. Anyway...I know where my Rep stands on the issue (much to my disaapointment), as she (Joyce Spiliotis) is a party-line Democrat. So, I'm sure any pleading I send her way will most likely fall on deaf (and dumb) ears.

Here ya Gold Pan. I'll be vacating shortly. Enough is enough. I have been lucky over my life so far and I can see it evaporating quickly. My plan is Southern NH and down south for a couple of months in the winter. I've retired twice now so the next time its for real.

Basically my Police Chief told me to let the crooks steal my stuff and call them and they will take care of it. Problem is if you use deadly force in this state your in more trouble that the crooks.
