Beautiful rifle! I am building a Bedford County Flintlock and have looked favorably at the Rice Barrel instead of Green Mountain. Any thoughts.

I'm not an authority...I've used various caliber T/C and GM barrels for 18 years and never felt I had any accuracy problems that weren't mine.
When I started thinking about having one built I asked questions about the various component manufactuers and it seems all the big name barrel makers are about as good as each other...out of a couple dozen replies including GM, Getz, Colerain, Rice, etc...Rice might have had 1-2 more mentions...and with them being a local company here in my state of North Carolina, I went with them. But I'm certain I'd never personally see a bit of difference in any of those brands of barrels.

roundball,

Very nice rifle. We were born 200-250 years too late. I am looking to be a French & Indian War reenactor.

Thank you for your take on barrels. I am inclined to stay with GM due to availability from supplier. Let us know how the new rifle shoots.
