200 gr .284 wildcats

well the new owners of wildcat bullets are shipping them, imagine a 200 gr 7mm bullet with a BC of .9 running almost 3300 fps. Got some on the way!

BOOYAH! .9 @ 3300....you should be able to shoot deer the whole way into Virginia with no problem! It's been awhile since we've all posted on here. Have you shot any ghogs this summer? It's been tough with all the rain up here, farmers not being able to get fields cut as normal makes it's hard with limited shooting. We did get the opportunity to check out the RCBS RASS....pretty sweet system really. Definitely steady enough to hit hogs at 800+. I think the forend rest needs some adjustment for the big guns stocks but with a minor modification it seems like it could be a lot simpler than bolting the bench together. It takes up a lot less room as well....leaves more room for deer!

Big,
groundhogs here are still learning to adapt to the newly populated coyotes, so there aren't long range shooting with any regularity at them, if they den in an open field they don't last long, a few along the roadbanks and where they have close cover but not in these 100 acre fields. I've taken 5 this year all with a 17 HMR, farthest shot about 150 yards.

All I ever shoot from is a bipod with rear bag, preload the pod and its just as steady as a bench.

I did get to wring out the gibbs was holding 8-9" groups at 1060 from a field position, still to hot to break out the big 7.

RR:

I've shot some of Paul's new "offspring" and they shoot just like the old, north of the border ones did.

Just waiting on a bucket of bullets from Paul. Talked with him today and he's waiting on parts for the production of the 7mms. Bummer, waiting is no fun but he'll get them out as soon as he can.
