Solar Lights

I'm just sorta testing this out but i was wondering if anyone has ever used solar lights to put over pig bait sights? I've bought a couple different styles from Wal-Mart but haven't put them into action yet. I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried this and what they learned.

I would actually like to set up a Motion flood light rigged to a battery but that is out of my intelegence range.

Hate to tell ya..but you don't have to rig it. HARBOR FRIEGHT already has 'em in the box ready to go.... and the price is of course GOOD. But wouldn't that light goin on kinda scared them pigs off?? Course if ya bait....er...um... feed 'em the right kinda stuff they probably wouldn't get too scared. You know...things like BBQd ribs..ham hocks poke chops and such.. I was thinkin of usin one of them lights to shoot the coyotes that came down near the house at night...but they quit comin..think that gun fire scare t'em off. Actually off topic..but we got so many yotes here it ain't funny.

I think it would be just like the noise of a feeder, at first it will scare them but they'll get used to when they move around the feeder a light comes on..idk just my thinking

My hog light is a 15 watt motion detector model from Wal-Mart. Think that is cost about $40. The light has three AA rechargeable batteries. There is a switch for off, one minute one time and five minutes on time.

I put a red plastic lens in the light because hogs are not bothered by red light. Also put magnets on the back of the light to attach it to the feeder. One minute of light is enough time to zap a hog at a feeder.

There is a guy near here uses this set up for coyote over a bair pile, but you could use it for hogs at a feeder. He has an electric pole with a motion detector with and ir lite and a tv camera. The motion detector turns on the ir, the tv camera and a tv set in the guys bed room. He can from bed look up and see what is there. If it`s a coyote he gets up, goes over to the window where he has a shooting bench and a rifle. Opens the window shoots the coyote with the nite vision scope on his rifle and goes back to bed. Just put the hog feeder abt. 200 yrds behind you house and go for it.

That is just plumb lazy..ingenious but LAZY. I'm jealous that I didn't think about it.
