Marlin XL-7's any good?

Has anyone tinkered with the new XL-7 yet?

I love my MR-7, as you know I totally rejoiced when I got her back! But now I have a hankering for a .243, and like the look of the XL-7.

Any comments?

I have looked at them at gander mountain and thought they look alot like the savage.
At least i think it is the one you are talking about.
