truck bed cover
I have a new 2010 Chevy 1500 Silverado pickup with crew cab and short bed. Would like to cover the pickup bed with a hard cover. I don't plan on matching the truck color, just getting something in pebble black fiberglass. I've checked out the Undercover and Penta brands. They are approximately equivalent in price. Anyone have opinions on these or other brands?
I want the cover to be reasonably easy to remove since I may have need for the open bed occasionally. 270man |

You didn't elaborate as to whether you wanted a cap or just literally a bed cover. I have had a Raven fiberglass cap on my Ford Ranger Super Cab now for about 11 years and have found it to be the best I've had. I like the fiberglass caps better than the aluminum ones but they are heavy as all get out. If you plan on taking it off on a frequent basis, you may want to consider an aluminum cap. They are a lot lighter than fiberglass but are still very sturdy. I had an aluminum cap (don't remember the brand) on my GMC Sonoma (before I got the Ranger) and it was about 10 years old when I got rid of the truck and it too held up very well. Removing it was a snap for my son and I. I believe it would take four people to remove and/or replace my fiberglass cap.
