It`s 3 PM here now and we have a great tracking snow, not to deep, and here I set playing on the computer. There was a time that I would have been out there all day. I guess I`m getting old and lazy.

How about older and wiser? Used to sit out all day myself.....back now starts to hurt after a few hours, and there are other responsibilities that need taking care of....life is a balance. Besides, I hate tracking in the dark.
As far as the computer: That will probably be one of my new years resolutions....to spend less time in front of the screen and to try and do more outside (work in the garden, train the dog, build something useful, ect). Spend to much damn time in front of this thing.......it's great in some respects, and a demon in others. Remember: life is a balance.

WHAT would you be tracking and Why? If you were in PA, I would say stay on the computer since the PGC sold a million "tickets" to kill off the antlerless deer herd. Duh! No mamas=NO deer!

I remember the day when it was 0, the wind blowing, snowing, raining or a forest fire I would be out. I'm a little wiser now. No sub 0, the wind is OK, depends on how hard it is snowing, rain-never, forest fire=weeinie roast. Just too old to suffer anymore.

I now see the finish line at work. About another year and I'm done. I will remain active but wisely.

Yesterday...Zero..light snow wind about 15 from the N 8800 ft..Saw 7 elk 3 deer..1 moose and a raven..one of the bull elk was a 340 class. 250 yds and no bull season..Cows were all over 475 yds and an uphill battle if I shot one...nah!! Season reopens in both my license areas Jan 1st

An there was about 8 inches of good trackin snow too. But I be too ole to go trackin through the snow after an elk. One of the doe mulies was a tremendous sized deer I'd say close to 200 lbs. Went by me at about levin feet. Din't even know I was there. Goin home last night deer were everywhere...feeding out in the fields. Saw at least 200 in one field not far from home. Game and fish guy came out to talk to me about the landowner deer tags..I have about 30 whitetails staying within a couple hundred yards from home. I knew there were 15 or so..I see 'em in the garden all the time. One is a nice 10 pointer(Eastern count) who kinda rules the roost. They are now pawing up the cabbage roots out of the little snow we have. I left some taters in the ground for 'em and I think they've dug 'em all up..or at least most...and they are workin on the leftover beets. Didn't even know they ate them. Next year I'm growin some turnips cause I know deer like them...at least they did in Maryland
