Well finally back from back East

Went back to Md Del and Pa on a really fast trip. Picked up my Granddaughter while there for a visit. Took her most everywhere I could get her in a short period of time. Not to Yellowstone though. But she did some 4 wheeling around our area and some shooting..and shopping with her grandmother..oh my..

While there I went to a few of the wholesale places I deal with and got some reloading items and a few scopes. One for me.. Got a Leupold VX-R 4-12x 40 rifle scope. Got it for my Kimber 338 Win Mag. Gonna use that one this year for my elkie hunting. I haven't bought a Leupold for myself in quite a few years....but thought I would try the VX-R because it has what they call a fire dot reticle. Haven't mounted it yet because I was thinking of putting QR bases and rings on it. Have looked it over pretty good so far and this thing is kinda nice. Think I will like the fire dot for early and late. The scope has a 30 mm tube and really seems to gather a bit more light than my VX-2 4-12 x 40. Oh as far asa reticles I got a regular Duplex. Just can't see where the B&C or varmint hunters reticle are easy to use. When I get it mounted and sighted I will take a couple of pics and get 'em posted. cause I also got a decent digital camera so I can take some better pics. I also hit a gun show on the way back and the one last weekend in Billings. Prices are coming down some on average guns. Some including handguns are still running high. I did good at both shows scoring on some bullet moulds and casting equipment and high end Nosler and Barnes bullets. Got about 35 boxes on Nosler partitions for unbelievable prices and bought 28 lbs of powders for really really good prices. But that will be another story..LOL!!
