PA Pheasant

So the early season ended today and my pup's stats are as follows:

99 pheasant flushes from the end of her nose (had a few come up close but didn't count if it wasn't at the end of her nose) 33 Roosters, 3 of which were banded, 1 reward bird, 66 hens and plenty of kills. Needless to say we've ate a lot of pheasant so we could keep hunting. 6 in possession 2 per day is our law.

All birds were fair chase and on PA game lands... Take a look at the videos below to see my little girl in action over the past 4 weeks

First 2 weeks

3rd week

4th week

We have a couple weeks of deer season before we hit the late season, best bird dog I've ever owned!

Good looking performance. Great shooting form....arm straight on forearm!
Looks like you are enjoying the good life.

Looks like a lot of fun. Great working dog you got there, seems she likes to chew the birds a bit though, haha.
What is a reward bird? We don't have pheasants down here, wish we did.

PAGC tags 5000 birds, about 2% for information on survival rates. Of those some are green banded, which is for information, some are silver banded worth $100 reward. That one bird paid for my hunting license! I wasn't aware of the program until I called after the first banded bird I shot.
