Nothing to report yet.

Been out for a whopping 2 days. 1st day didnt even see any shooter deer. 2nd day we saw a couple of teeny bucks. One hot on a cute doe. We are after meat deer though.....That zone doesn't even have any big bucks from what I am hearing.

On the REALLY great side of things though, I made a cold call on a local farmer and have gotten permission on some great land that might just produce the cow elk I have been drawn for this year!! Super stoked!! Nice couple there. With any luck tomorrow the wife and I will be tagged out and deboning a fine brace of white tail deer!! Game plan is set, gonna check out a new area. If that doesnt pay off then we will hit up that farmer, as he has a grain pile out back that brings in a few deer in the evening

Super excited to see how the 120gr Partitions work on a deer!!!!

Good luck bro, I have been seeing deer up there... but nothing worth a second look...

Those partitions will work excellent.. several have fallen to the 95g version out of my 6mm..

Got some access to some great whitetail hunting land this year. Sat in a field and watched about 50 or 60 deer come and go. Assortment of does with fawns and small bucks. Absolutely no large buck in the zone I was hunting. But horns taste like crap and make a poor stew anyways, so not a concern to me!!

My hunting party all told 4 of us. Got a doe, a bambi, and 2 small bucks. Managed to get my deer pretty easily.

Was laying prone in a bit of trees. She was at 230 yards. Squeezed it off. Missed. WTF??
she spooked and turned at 240 yards. Aimed a blonde hair higher, squeezed it off. THWACK!! A hit!! Wasnt certain I had made a good fatal shot, she jumped and turned broadside at 250 yards, squeezed another off. THWACK!!!

She turned and ran off....jumped a fence and disappeared in some trees. I wasnt able to see her, but my wife who was in another corner saw her go into the trees and go down in a heap.

Walked up after a bit and started looking for a trail....Blood everywhere, a blind man could have followed it from space. She was about 15 yards into a copse of trees.

My 2nd shot hit lower lungs and would have been a fatal hit, the follow up shot turned her heart and the rest of her lungs into pudding. 120 grain Nosler Partitions did the job perfectly!!!

After deboning we got 37 pounds of lean meat off this doe. Very happy. Hope I can hunt there again. But a member of my hunting party may have blown it for me. A day I wasn't there he had shot a small buck, dragged it partway to the road, then drove into the farmers field without permission. Ugh.....

My wife with her .270 waiting for the deer to move in a bit closer....400 yards is too far for us HAHA!!

I had to trim off about 4 inches of fat off her ass. If it wasn't a deer I would have mistaken her for Jennifer Lopez's fat rump!!!! As for cooling....it was actually far too warm....but just cool enough
