Brasso and Muzzeloader Kit.
Our February thaw has arrived and the farm fields are too muddy to take old dawg for a ride in the Polaris Ranger. I ran an oil patch down the bores of the MLs on establishment and then got out the Brasso.
One of my 3 brass pan chargers was corroded solid and unusable. I used Brasso to polish all pan chargers, brass powder measures and the 3 brass powder flasks. For an encore, I polished all 6 brass-tipped short starters and the cartridge powder measures in my 4 possibles bags. I make ML powder measures from brass I find in the brass barrel at the local gun club. The .300 Winchester Magnum case, cut down below the shoulder makes a fine brass powder measure of 90, or 100 grains. Other cases make nifty 50, 60, 70, 75, 80 and 85 grain powder measures. I cut off the case neck, champfer and deburr the case and scribe into the brass case the black powder content of the resultant case. Adam
