Angry Browning / CHINA --- RANT ! !

China’s Junk getting into my hunting shooting stuff “I think NOT” !

So this is MY RANT;
I go into Sportsman’s Warehouse, I really need a new “do everything jacket” for kicking around, hunting, hiking, and ATV riding in cold weather. I always had to be 3rd+ on the list due to raising kids, they are all grown now and I am #1 ( the wife said I could say that) . I am going to buy ME something I want, something quality for once. I see these jackets “Browning” they look good and MADE BY BROWNING ! This is it , something quality for me !,,, Ouch !,,,, $300 + but I deserve it and have never had anything worth a sh-t for 30 years.

On the way to the cash register I find the small hidden tag “Made In CHINA” ,,,,,back to the rack it went !

$300+ Browning jacket made in China. I don’t give my money to a communist country!

I will not give Browning $300+ for something they paid $3.50 for . I think stores that serve us red-neck types should be required to CLEARLY MARK the country or origin. Country of origin is just as important to me as Brand. A $300 Browning jacket made in China is fraud.

Shame on you Browning !
Shame on you Sportsman’s Warehouse !

I think if we ran a monthly single didget of shame award there would not be a major company left out there including Harley Davidson .

No jacket yet .

Any country but "Communist" China could do at the right price(not $300).

A Quality U.S. product could go $300 with me, thats what I thought the Browning was?

I but a lot of Columbia stuff and most of it is made in Malaysia or Sri Lanka. I haven't seen anything made by them in China yet.

Sad thing is that very few textiles/clothing is made in America. I know Guess and Wrangler jeans are made in America, but not even Levis is made in America anymore and they even moved their headquarters overseas. When hey moved their headquarters overseas, that was the end of Levi jeans for me. I almost set the ones in the closet on fire. I remember in the 1970's when Levis toted that they were made in America. I guess that didn't catch on enough.

By the way, I stay away from everything Browning because of a customer service issue that I had on a Citori o/u.

Columbia Is also made in China!

Sorry to say , I have a winter jacket made by Columbia Sportswear and the tag inside says made in China! Most all outer wear except Woolrich Brand is made outside of the USA. It makes me sad to say we wont support our own country by providing jobs for our own people instead of farming out to cheap foreign labor! But the flipside is USA made means expensive so we pay the price to support ourselves. Union Labor dont come cheap!

Unions etc

6.5's..And the worst part of it is my union dues went to support the people in Congress who voted for Nafta and sending our jobs overseas. I don't understand that!! And I would still rather buy American(excuse me US made products)!!

I had my vision tested the other day..gotta get new glasses and when I checked the frames for sale...Almost all were made in..you guessed it....China. And I told the salesperson there(an Oriental chick) that I don't buy Chinese. She seemed offended? And she lives in the US? Uh??

What about Carhartt?

Ive had a black jacket, with blanket liner for around 12years. Its a bit light when it gets cold. I usually wear a zip up hooded jacket underneath, when it gets nippy.

I went that route before..buy only US made items. It is hard as the flames below to get anything anywhere made here at home. Americans just don't want to work anymore..As stated, if you have a good bank account you can do so but what got me thinking was when I had to work on my vehicles aaalll the time and had the Q...uality in back of mind all the time when on a trip and the wire coat hanger/duct tape in tool box while a friend of mine put over 200,000 miles on a honda with not much more than tires/brakes etc..I spent way bigger $$ for my US made item not to mention parts. Same went with clothes. I don't think I own a US made item that don't have a patch over it somewhere or sewn stitches over factory ones. I want to buy US items but and I know we have to make big $ during the work day to buy a loaf of bread for the family or pay utility bills but I also think most of the problem is ATTITUDE at the work place. Example: 3 month old Ford truck..hormonic balancer fell off because the factory worker 'forgot' to install one bolt and left another one 1/2 way out..This was found out while on hunting trip and I lay in snow changing it along the road..We are getting poor quality items made by the I just don't give a da&* attitude. Just give me my big paycheck so I can call off tomorrow after a good drunk..I just installed a new mailbox post ..made in America and had to tap one of the 3 holes because someone didn't want to take the time to make quality items...So what are we to do?..Even back in the 50's when we played the radio with our honey somewhere...was the radio made in America?..Didn't make such an item here then..but I bet it was used...Japan..why didn't we make radios here at home?..did we do without?..bet not...bet even those that won't pay an affordable price for a quality made warm jacket listens to a radio...think of this made in america next time your tv is turned on......was it made here?..Sony (and who owns Sony?) has a company here in W.Pa and has a hard time with employee attitude...even though they brought the buss here and put to work lots of people at not only the plant but those that make support items for them..They threaten to move back home..Don't anyone get me wrong here because I still support American jobs and buy American if can...but we let our government get too distant in Government/citizens representation that it only boils down now to 'hurray for me and f&&& you. Just fatten my pocket' attitude that most Americans are just giving up, shopping at the wally worlds and moving on ...Is time we vote out each and every elected official in office from the local to the big guy and get people in there that want to WORK for the American people again...Whew...can go on and on but space is issue and I took too much as it is..I still Love America...Still buy American when I can.

I don't think it is a matter of Americans not wanting to work its that we will not condone "swet shops" and Americans will not work for nothing. Our lavish life tyle will not handle low paying jobs anymore in so all these imports come pouring in.

Browning / China --- Rant

spike1

Good for you! If they want to ship our jobs overseas, then, let the Chinese buy their stuff. I don't think the Chinese would pay $300 for a jacket.

The first thing you have to look at Skeeter is we have the best government BIG BUSINESS can buy. The second thing is, I don't care how honest you are, but if you were to run for an office that counts, BIG BUSINESS would have you bought and paid for even before you were sworn in. If you can't be bought, they'll find somd dirt and get you run out of office.
I know that's an awfully negative outlook, but that's the way I see it.
A favorite quotation of mine was said by Adolph Hitler of all people. The fact that he was a moster is irrelevant. He said, "What good fortune for government that the people do not think."
I think the Republicans have shot themselves in the arse. Slick Willie, in an interview in Europe literally said that Hillary was going to run in 08. You know something? I think she'll win. Not only that, but most likely any Republicans that have to run on 06 and 08 are going to be on the unemployment line. Scary time ahead is what I see.

PJ, yes you are right...either get bought or get ousted..I know of a guy that ran for a government job in the neighboring town that said ' I only want in so I can have my turn at the hand in the till ' This was not a public statement but one told me...I will never forget that. The dirt thing to keep you out?..this is true also...oh well...what can we do?...It still is the best darn country in the world...so far....however I think someone is working pretty darn hard at the interior of things here....and Hillary?...ewww what a scarry thought. Think lots of people will vote her in just because she would be the first woman....never mind good-by to our hobbies and sport... I still think she and her hubby were wolves in sheep clothes....working on the inside

The average worker does not have a chance when it comes to many things in this country but as stated it is still the best by far and I hope our President takes his boots off at the door so as not to track oil on the carpet lol
