Huntchat's Muzzy Moment Video

The first of many series of clips from the Huntchat Prostaff's trip to IL this past weekend. Just wait until you see the shot bigbrother makes on this ol Tom! No need for Guillotines here...The ol Muzzy will do the trick just fine.

Thumbs up

Not bad at all. Would've liked to see a little more video at the end though...

I would have, but I have the limit set to 1/2 MB and you'll notice this clip is right at the mark. Here's a picture of the aftermath though.

Cool pic! Looks like the turkey my little sis shot with a 20 gauge at less than 5 yards. Heck of a hole! I'd say the muzzy did it's job! Heck of a shot too, tough to hit a target that small. Didn't pay any attention to the file size, so that explains it.

Head Shot

The shot was most definitely intended. Think of it this way, you're either going to kill the bird or miss him clean if you're shooting for the head.

I was unfortunate enough 2 yrs ago to shoot my long beard head on at 35yrds with the bow (arrow went through chest, out back) only for 4 of us to look for him for almost 6 hours. We never did find him. I really don't want to experience that again. The head/neck, escpecially while strutting is not really that small of a target. You just have to make sure he's close. The strutting decoy in the clip was 12 yards from the blind, so he was 13 or 14yrds at the most.

The hunt as Petey describes was incredible. The Hammell family treated us like kings and put us right on the birds. I will definitely go back and hopefully get to chase those giant deer around.
