South Dakota Storm

I was passing thru I90 in SD over the weekend, Friday afternoon to be exact. We got caught in a hell of a storm just east (south) of Sturgis. Busted the windshield in our car in two places and dented it all over with large hail.

Anyone else get a piece of that storm? I got some pics of a funnel cloud.

Bad.

Pretty much knocked the crap out of everything in that area and the Countys Patrol cars are shot. They closed the Interstate due to the rain and hail for awhile. We were in pretty good shape in Sturgis just getting rain and in Belle Fourche where I live we got Nothing.

There were cars sitting on the side of the road, including sheriffs vehicles. I was going east. The west bound lane closed due to a wreck at an overpass.

We sat for a while an I said to hell with it. If were going to get beat up, we might as well be trying to get out from under it. After 15-20 minutes of driving, it cleared off, just like that. But it was still black behind us, like it was lingering. I think we kinda punched thru it.
