08 SD Pheasants

Well I made my Spring trip to the Eastern part of South Dakota and saw pheasants all along the way and plenty of them.
One thing I did notice was very little CRP left and everything has gone to corn for the fuel plants. This may not be good for the birds if we get hit with a very hard winter. I know one thing my dog and I are going to hunt hard and long this year as it may be the last before we plung into the 60's thing of no cover and no birds.

With the price of gas as such, I haven't done any scouting yet.

I'll be getting out around the end of the month, as I have another commitment before then.

We will see what we see.

Best wishes, Bill

Billy: I may be getting up in your State this summer as I have purchased some motorcycles up in Alamo and have to get them home.
