Wrenchman, I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune. I hope your son is OK.

One's health and the health of loved ones is way more important than hunting, any other hobby, material possession, or even work for that matter.

I hope you and your son heal quickly, and I would be just as selfish as you if one of my kids were involved in a terrible car accident.

Wrenchman, my heart and my prayers go out to your family and the others. Life is to short to measure by hunting, family is always first. Hope everyone is as well as can be expected.

wrenchman,

I pray that your son will get through this okay. That is a very hard situation to deal with and I can't imagine what he's going through.

I'm really missing the UP this fall. Always love any time I get to spend up there. Congrats to your nephew!

Talked with one of my friends who hunts the west end of the U.P. (Menominee County).

Total take for the second week was 1 doe. Out of 20 hunters in camp during the season so far, they only got 4 bucks. I guess because of several successive tough winters, population numbers were really low. No one was seeing anything after the first couple of days.

Hope the rest of you have better luck if you get out.
