Skeet, The 7 TCU is more popular because the bullet is heavy enough to topple the rams in the Metallic game. I want the 6mm TCU for pestering p-dogs. I have the .221 Fireball, but the wind really raises heck with it.

Larry I figured that is what you want it for.. The 7mm is a very accurate round. the 6 should be also. I also have a 7x30 Waters and it is a good shooter plus ok for deer at moderate ranges and can use pointy bullets. I bought a Winchester 54 in 30-30 not long ago..got to work up a load or two for it with pointy bullets. BTW could you drill and tap that ol 54??..Will put an old Weaver on it I think

skeet, I'll make you a deal. You are the one that goes to a lot of gun shows. I need two Redfield mounts for the Winchester 54. They also work on the "old" Model 70s. I have an old 70 coming in for a mount and don't have it. Find me two mounts and the drill and tap on your 54 is even trade. I'll even throw in getting that broken off screw out of the 25-06.

Larry... I already have one in a one piece mount with the flip up peep. They are a bit hard to find.. I will look through this stuff here and see if'n I have another. If you need the mount soon I can send it to you. I have a friend with a box of different mounts..at least a couple hundred...He may even have one.

skeet, Yes. What kind of a deal do you have for me. My friend gave me about 40 loaded rounds and the dies, but I do want to get about 100 rounds of new brass. Let me know what you have.
