Any of you folks hunt or know of the "Boars Den" in Archer TX.?
I am kind of interested in one of their exotics hunts.
Talked with a fella that went hog hunting there and said it was great.
Thanks

Not sure about them. I can tell you I went on an exotic doe hunt at the West Kerr Ranch last year. It was GREAT! Weather sucked, customer service was AWESOME! I took a 200 pound boar and loved it! I'm going back next month!!! Check them out at westkerrranch.com Look under specials. Right now they are offering $200 lodge and hunt fee for exotic does and boar. So its $200 for 3 days, 2 nights and $150 an exotic doe and $50 a boar! You will not be disapointed!!!

Unfortunantly thats really not that uncommon around. Personally I don't like dealing with any company that charges a "trophy" or a "kill" fee. I figure if I am paying you to hunt your property then I should get to hunt your property without a batch of extra bs charges.

my 2 cents

They do not charge any trophy fees that I am aware of. The animal included in your package is the price listed. The Extra fees I think you saw are available as "Add Ons" To your hunt. If you are on a Ram hunt and want to take a trophy Axis Buck they have a fee for that. Yes they do usually allow this!! Best way to find out for sure is call them. They are AWESOME!! Best customer service I've found!! My hunt was a year ago and I called a couple days ago with a question. Ashley (My guide at the last hunt) answered and Remembered me by name!!! They are great people!! You wont be disapointed! I am going on a trip out there the end of February and have room for another person or two.... I am going on a 1 1/2 day hog hunt and probably an exotic doe, Boar 3 day hunt at the West Kerr Ranch.... Please let me know if you might be interested in riding along.....

OK I got ya on the extra fee thing and that makes sense.
What I am planning is a Feb. 06 hunt and doing the ground work now. I have a friend that moved to Panhandle TX and will see him and combine a hunt. Thanks for the information and I got them in my "favorites" .
