New Group Measurement software
I got an email the other day from a guy who has developed software to analyze group sizes. He started with a program to analyze shotgun patterns (which I have not tried) and modified it for bullet groups.
Guys, I'm impressed. The trial version is free, but you must download the program every time you use it (it took about three minutes on my dialup connection). If you like it, the installable version is $30. It's pretty neat. You enter a digital picture of the group, set the dimensions and it automatically calculates many aspects of the group. You can then print out the analysis plus a depiction of the group. Here's the LINK Oh, make sure you read the instructions, as it starts with a blank screen, and it isn't entirely obvious what to do next.

Thanks for that link, Rocky. We are sure getting lots of free or reasonably priced computer tools for handloaders these days (I'm thinking of PointBlank, for example).
A fellow could sit in front of the computer all day, and never get a shot off! Dutch. |
