Did you see the news? They found the girl from Georgia that disappeared a few days ago....alive and well (in a manner of speaking) in New Mexico.

I thought she was history.

I watched an interview that Greta "Snydly Whiplash" Van Sustren did with the missing girl's Dad last night. It was touching and I felt so sorry for her family because we all know how these things usually turn out. How they must feel now that she's been found and is alright.....

....but Cold Feet?

Yup, and many hours of PD and volunters were spent searching for her and willing to recue.....,most of these folks did this through a sincere desire to help....I think she she should be prosecuted.....this crap ain't no joke!Least way. when they go missing in the hills n winter....been there, done that.....

Never could understand these people who disappear. Happens alot more than we imagine. A former friend of mine in college did the same disappearing act. We found out two years later. Couldn't face his family when he failed to graduate after 6 years and took off for Boston we later learned. Family came down, put signs up, and father was asking everybody on campus if they knew anything. Two years later we heard he was back from the dead. All it would have taken was a single phone call saying sorry, see ya later and they could have stopped all the worrying. Always considered him a decent fellow till that happened. Talk about selfish behavior.
Guy who was going to marry this woman sure is lucky this ended as it did. Finally got to see her true colors. Poor guy has to know that the only reason it made the national news was because every news station thought they were getting an early seat on a repeat of the scott peterson trial or that crazy guy who pretended to be in medical school. Her family should have gotten on the TV and told her to stay there.

I am happy for the family she is not dead but some one needs to kick her in the butt and it should be a family member.

THE FIRST STORY I READ ABOUT THIS SHINDIG, THE WEDDING, SHE WAS A WILLING PARTICIPANT AND HAD DREAMED OF A BIG WEDDING.

SO NOW SHE GETS COLD FEET HUH? I'D GIVE HER COLD FEET, RIGHT IN THE RUMP AND KICK HER BUTT UP NEATH HER SHOULDER BLADES.

MAYBE SHE OUGHT TO STICK TO PLAYING HOUSE LIKE SHE HAS BEEN. I GUESS SHE AND THE GUY HAVE BEEN SHACKED UP FOR SOME TIME. HEY, WHEN YOU ARE GETTING FREE MILK, WHY BUY THE COW.

ANOTHER THING, SHE COULDN'T TAKE "THE PRESSURE"? AND THIS CHICK IS EMPLOYED IN THE MEDICAL CAREER FIELD. GIVE ME A BREAK.

I WOULDN'T WANT A FLAKE LIKE HER MOTHERING MY CHILDREN.

I'd beat that witch to within an inch of her life. To have the groom to be worried about what happened to her along with the cops and alot of other people thinking he was involved.

I wouldn't be interested in seeing her ever again, except one more time. Friggin people.

She was a topic of discussion at dinner tonight. I don't know all the facts, but I think I can agree that she should be prosecuted. If she works out a plea bargain, I think the Judge should tally up all the hours spent by LEO's and volunteers trying to find her, multiply it by two, and require her to do just as much community service.

What is wrong with not showing up at the altar and leaving a note saying something about it. How about just telling the fiance that you don't want to go through with it. How about just going through with it and getting a divorce at a later date if it really doesn't work out. People nowadays kill me.

The last woman I dated and was engaged to gave me a song and dance about not wanting to have children as being the reason she didn't want to get married. I accepted it and we broke up. Later, I found out that she had money issues and that she couldn't take my limiting the amount she was allowed to gamble. She ended up getting pregnant 3 months after we broke up. Now, I give her credit for finding a way to end the relationship before we got to the altar, I just wish she had been straight forward about it. Then again, I also found out that she had been gambling behind my back and not telling me about it because she was losing.

Oh well, if everybody was straight forward in this world we would have a lot less crime and life would be a lot more boring, albeit life would also be a lot better.

AS WE HERE IN THE DAKOTAS SAY, " GAMBLING, TASUNKAWITKO'S REVENGE FOR THE SKIRMISH AT WOUNDED KNEE."

HE'S BEEN DEAD A LONG TIME AND IS STILL INFLICTING DAMAGE ON THE WHITE MAN. ACTUALLY HE IS ONE OF MY HEROES. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SEE IT IN ANOTHER TYPE OF VENUE.

Interesting thought on the sanctity of Marriage, Fabs!

It's a tough call for me on where to go with this up to the point of her claim of kidnapping. Last I remember there's nothing "legally" wrong with walking out your door and hoppin' on the Greyhound to head for Cucamonga without telling anyone. Maybe not the smartest thing to do for obvious reasons but still legal nonetheless. It was her loved ones that blew the whistle and mobilized the authorities to begin the search and in this day and age it IS the smart thing to do. I would hope that the authorities don't pursue criminal action for events up to that point but as for the BS story to law enforcement about the kidnapping, well...that's different and open for prosecution. Should they? I'm on the fence. I think you have a lot of people that are now pissed about the whole thing and all the help that came forward and I think they want to see punishment for her actions yet they overlook the big picture and that is all she did that was legally wrong was tell the cops she was kidnapped. Not to belittle that but she didn't stick to that story for long, but rather quickly fessed up. I'd have to see some strong argument to justify prosecution for that issue.

I think restitution to some degree is in order. How much I'm not sure.

As for those eyes? I'm in agreement with TBO, she looks a little too "bedazzled" to me! I saw several photos of her on some publication and I could swear that every photo looked like someone cut and paste her head from the identical photo. It was just weird looking!

I don't think I could trust this woman after a stunt like that. The first fight we'd get into, she'd run off for a few days and I wouldn't know whether she was OK or not. I wouldn't put myself through that.

I believe in the sanctity of marriage and I truly believe in getting married and working everything out in marriage. In re-reading that sentence of mine, I almost regret writing it. However, lets take a look at marriage. Back when it was invented, people lived a lot shorter lives. So, to stay married for ones entire life probably didn't take much. Nowadays, to stay married for 50+ years takes a ton of work, let alone raising kids together.

If we are really going to harp on the sanctity of marriage, why is it that it is okay for people to live together without getting married, and for some to have children without being married. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that it isn't okay to live with somebody before getting married, but what makes that okay nowadays. How about pre-marital sex?

If I got your post correct, she wasn't the one that told the cops she was kidnapped, her parents/family did that, or they filed a missing persons report and everybody was out looking for her. If she merely corroborated the story after being "found", I would tend to agree with you that there isn't much that should be done to her if she came clean soon thereafter. If my understanding is incorrect (i.e., she was the one who told the cops she had been kidnapped), then I stand behind my previous post. By the way, at dinner tonight I was told that she had actually called the authorities from some rest top and said she had been kidnapped. Something tells me that the prosecutor might be the only one that knows everything going on here.
