Condoleezza Rice for president?

Just wondering how you all feel about Rice running for President?..Seems like somone is trying to make a woman President soon in history....Clinton??...NOT...Rice seems fair and very well educated to me....Now, we could experience lots of history in the making here...I think I would vote for her...

SKEETER

TWO THINGS WRONG WITH MS. RICE, ONE SHE'S BLACK AND WOULD GET NONE TO LITTLE OF THE BLACK VOTE. MOST OF THEM CAN'T STAND TO SEE A SUCCESSFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON OTHER THAN JOCKS IN A HIGH POSITION THAT MADE IT ON THEIR OWN. THIS LADY HAS MORE TESTOSTERONE THAN SOME GUYS I KNOW. READ A GOOD BIO ON HER AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN. SHE IS THE TYPE PERSON THAT WILL TELL PEOPLE TO GET OFF THEIR DEAD A%% AND HELP THEMSELVES. DON'T WAIT FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO DO IT FOR YOU. THEY CAN'T AND WON'T.

I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO THE LIBERAL CRAP SINCE THE DAYS OF FDR, YEAH I'M THAT DAMNED OLD. AT THAT TIME I COULDN'T VOTE BUT I LISTENED. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. SOS. WERE GONNA SAVE THE WORLD, WERE GONNA GIVE YOU THIS, THAT. FRANKLY I'M AM TRULY SURPRISED SOCIAL SECURITY HAS LASTED THIS LONG. LIBERALS ARE VERY GOOD AT TACTICAL GOALS BUT FAIL IN THEIR STRAGEIC PLANNING. IE:LONG RANGE. CHOCLATE IS NOT A BAND AID IN THIS TYPE THINKING.

MY FIRST AND LAST DEMOCRATIC VOTE WAS FOR JFK. THAT WAS A MISTAKE, HE SENT ME TO VIETNAM ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. HE AND THAT SCUMBAG JOHNSON COULDN'T EVEN GET THE COUNTRY UNITED TO SUPPORT THE WAR. AND I GOT SPIT ON AT AIRPORTS WHEN I CAME BACK TO MY OWN COUNTRY. I HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN AND I NEVER WILL.

TWO, MS. RICE IS A WOMAN. A LOT OF FOLKS WON'T VOTE FOR HER BECAUSE OF THAT FACT. SOME MEN DON'T REALIZE THAT SOME WOMEN HAVE EXECUTIVE ABILITIES. AFTER MY WIFE PASSED AWAY I REALLY GOT A TASTE OF REALITY. THERE I WAS WITH 5 CHILDREN TO RAISE. I FOUND OUT IN A REALLY BIG HURRY WHAT A WOMAN DOES AND HOW SHE DOES IT. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF HOW DID THAT WOMAN MAKE IT ON HER OWN WHEN I WAS OVERSEAS. GADS I RESPECTED HER. SHUCKS I HAD THE EASY JOB FIGHTING THE WAR. I ALWAYS DID RESPECT HER BUT EVEN MORE SO AFTER THE FACT. SHE NOT ONLY DONE THE THINGS I DID AT HOME BUT SHE HAD THE ADDED RESPONSIBILITY OF HER OWN THINGS. THINK WOMEN CAN'T ORGANIZE AND DON'T HAVE EXECUTIVE TENDENCIES? THINK AGAIN. DO THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY THAN US GUYS DO. YOU BETTER DAMN WELL BELIEVE IT. AND I'M GLAD THEY DO.

AS FOR MS. RICE, I'D VOTE FOR HER IN A MINUTE. SHE HAS MY RESPECT AND ADMIRATION. SHES ONE HELL OF A LADY.

You wouldn't see both Hillary and Rice running at the same time. Grant you they are both qualified (whether you like them or not) for the position.

I agree in part with Billy. I don't think the blacks will vote for Rice. Furthermore, Rice does have that personality that is not likeably - or at least gives some people the creeps. Putting the two side by side, Hillary would stand a better chance at winning.

I'm not up on the Republican party. I don't know of their "silent" leaders (if you will) that will emerge into presidential candidates. I will say the election is over if McCain runs.

I don't see any new faces in the democratic party in 08. I think it's between Clinton, Kerry, and Edwards. Of these three - I think I put them in the order of their best chances of winning the general election should either decide to run in the primaries.
I suspect Clinton will be on the ballot either as presidental candidate or vice.

But Rice, no. I don't think we'll even see her.

Dr. Rice would probably be a runaway winner. She has more style ,grace, intelligence and integrity than both Clintons combined. I think there are more middle and upper class blacks that vote conservatively than most would believe.

The only problem is a bunch of egotitstical, arrogant, and silently racist congressmen would have a hard time swallowing a black female in the ultimate position of power.

When will people let race and gender not be a issue any more. I believe that we have missed some of our best leaders because of this constant plague on our society.

The problem, Slim, is that she would NOT win - because she has style, wit, intelligence and integrity.

She'd alienate everybody who only votes for the one who'll kiss their behinds, shovel benefits to them and promise them even more. Unfortunately, that's about half the country these days, and I don't limit that to blacks.

I'd love to see her as President. I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. But she herself says she doesn't want it. That might change down the road, but I doubt it. She says what she means.

If that B with an itch Hillary gets on the ticket, I'll simply vote Republican - again.

I'd even vote for McCain if he were the R choice. Heaven forbid that. He's anti-gun and three-quarters liberal. And what we need right now is a real true conservative.

It was very interesting on Hannity and Colmes the other night.
A new poll out showed that 58% of moderates would support Clinton and 33% of conservatives would.
The moderate vote doesn't suprise me a bit - but the conservative does. Perhaps the poll is flawed (as many polls are because there aren't a whole of people who participate) but if not, it's very suprising.

I think it was Hannity who said the only two republicans who would stand a chance against Clinton would be McCain or Gulianni and he didn't think either one of them could win the rep primary.

I don't believe that poll for a heartbeat.

You can make a poll come out any way you want by the questions you ask. Example:

"As a gun owner, would you prefer a ban on only .50-cal guns or on all guns?"

Next day headline: "Gun Owners Want Ban On 50-cal Terror Rifles!"

See?

That's how you get a headline like "Conservatives Would Vote For Hillary"

In my opinion, Hillary on the ticket would cause a landslide of protest votes. You'd see people pulling the "R" lever who haven't voted in decades just to keep her out. And it wouldn't matter WHO was on the Republican ballot.

Very good point on polls and on Rice, Rocky.

Hillary is already working hard on her fake, bullchit "moderate" stance. It's a complete joke to watch her act like she is all of a sudden able to come to the center. It's sickening to watch and even more sickening to realize that so many stupid americans will believe it.

Red face I Concur Completely With Rocky

I've actually had this lively and most spririted conversation with folks here at my work and I hope like heck that the Dems do put Hillary on the presidential ticket because I personally believe to the core of my being that you will see the largest "unprecedented" landslide victory in history for whomever happens to be running on the Republican ticket.

I think people will come out in droves (for good reason! ) to keep that woman out of office!

Go ahead, put her on! 'It'll take a village" of psychotherapists, counselors, and Democrat think tank pollsters after the election to help her get back a little of her ego-meglamaniac self esteem.
