which I fergot the name of..I think it's Dateline. I seen night fore last..they had a report on the 50 cal. and about it bein banned in California. Now I know that we done had this discussion fore...but that show was killin me. It's an act of terroism they said...and said nary a single word about why people would own such a gun, except fer terroism and murder..blah..blah..blah.

Well, my take on that particular gun is this: I aint got nary a need fer it. Aint got nuthin that big round here that needs knocked down that bad...cept fer inflation of course.
Irregardless, iffin ya want one, then you should be able to own 1 w/o Dateline & the feds breathin down yer neck like a fox on a 1-legged chicken. Why do some folks buy old cars? Well..I reckon they think they're cool. Could very well be the same reason fer ownin a 50..that's just 1 of many reasons why somebody would want one I reckon...but besides that...where does a news show git off sayin that the only use fer that gun is acts of terroism??
It's insane how the news aint news no more..but a bunch of opinionated city slickers w/ nuthin better to do than rile folks up. (Includin me)
They kept callin it a "sniper rifle". Sure, you could carry that thing up 15 flights of stairs er a rooftop w/ 2 fingers and never skip a beat. Goobers they is...I swear.
So here's this Stone Phillips cacklin like a hungry rooster w/ a stick down his throat..and the only fools interviewed was anti's. Now..they claimed they aint want it banned..just a tighter set of reigns on the horse. Well..one of these days that there horse is gonna stick a couple of rear legs up their butt and wake em up.
There is a columnist in the Richmond paper..who gits me so mad that the Pepsi machine in the break room at werk is shakin in it's boots...he's black...and hates a white so bad..he's probaly chuck em all in the river & watch em drown. All he writes about is how the whites is takin over the state of Virginia..his opinions havin nary..and I mean nary an ounce of fact behind em. Well, the way i see it...iffin you dont like the Confederate monuments on Monument Ave..then git the hell offa Monument Ave!
And..iffin you dont like 50 cals bein legal in my state..then git the hell out of it, take yer minivan and dvd player w/ ya, and dont the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya.
BTW, they said the are gittin ready to ban the 50 cal in New York too..hard to say how fer it'll go w/ them dam "news" reports...

Don't get me started on this whole 50 caliber thing or affirmative action.

Everybody wants to be treated equal, so they say, but they are still looking for a handout. TheBadOne posted a discrimination case on here several months ago wherein a police department was found liable for discriminating against 17 white men. The chief of police, a minority, passed over white men time and time again. The judgment was in the millions. What I want to know is why it wasn't all over the national news. I could go one for quite a while on this one because I do not think that a person should be given any preference based upon race, religion, sex, or whatever else have you. With that said, I think a preference should be given to those who are poor and in a bad place. Since I am white, I will say white trash, trailer park, or their equivalent under different terms for different races. A child in those circumstances should be given a break to get out of where he is. Then again, I would hate to have a less intelligent person be my attorney, doctor, or accountant. Affirmative action just bugs the hell out of me.

As far as .50's are concerned, I agree that people should be able to buy them just because they want them. I compare them to Ferraris. The Ferrari can break almost every speed limit in the US in first gear, so why do we allow them here? Because the rich want them. Now, if the .50's were starting to be used for terrorist things, then tighten the reins, just as if Ferraris were involved in a majority of the crashes. This all boils down to some idiot that bought a bunch of them and allegedly shipped them overseas. Nothing wrong with the .50's, but there is definitely something wrong with the ATF and FBI.
