Marlin 1894

Just bought one of those 44 mag rifles the other day in a 6 gun deal. Just like new and a real sweet shooter...at least as well as I can shoot it anyway. The best of what I got tho was a Remington XP100 Metallic silhouette in 35 Remington. Darn thing really does shoot good...even if it does have the regular sights. I had another 1894 a few years ago but it was stolen and trashed by the thief. Don't know what they sell for now but they are pricey I'm sure...every thing else is. Of the six I bought the only one I'm going to keep is the 1894 Marlin...the rest have to go.

Skeet, I am a fan of the .35Rem. I have one in a Rem pump. Nice deer round. If you don't have to get rid of it, don't. If you reload you can make some real nice loads for it.

35 Rem

Well Classic, I already have a Contender in 35 Rem and it is a good shooter... as well as an old Remington 141 35 Rem pump gun. Like that ol rifle too so something has to go. I may even sell the 141 soon. Haven't shot it in a couple years. No rifle shooting where I live at least for deer

Skeet, that's what I have, a 141 pump. A honest to goodness great rifle. I took a doe at 350yds with it a few yrs ago and that sold me. Probably won't take a shot half that far the rest of my life, but it's good to know I can. Now alls I need is a .32, .30 and .25 to complete the set.

BowBow, I dont think you can go wrong buying a Marlin 1894 in .44 Mag. That has been my primary deer rifle for some time now. I have killed 7 nice bucks, and a few hogs with it.

I got a .44 rifle and I love it. It is so accurate. I'm going to Minnesota this year deer hunting and I'm taking that. It is a short gun, and it has no recoil whatsoever.
