How far can i push a . 375 jdj on caribou?

I was given an offer to buy my buddies T/C G2 rifle in .375 jdj. I know this is an effective caliber on any game , but how far out can i work with it? Mostly W/T and caribou. Any input is welcomed!

Well, If you could hit a deer or caribou in the lungs at 500 yards, it would kill it, but bullet performance would not be the best, so it might run a ways. 300 yards would be more like it. If you want to know what your maxium range is, go out with a laser rangefinder, and place 10 one gallon milk jugs at 200 yards and fire 10 rounds from a field position, (not sand bags) if you hit every jug, back up 100 yards and do it again. Do this till you miss. After 200 yards the JDJ falls off fast, and wind bothers it a lot, so if you are serious, a scope with target knobs is a must. This is not a long range round by any means, if you plan on shooting long range, a 7 or a 300 win mag would be a much better choice.
