sighting in the .17 Rem for 'yotes

I go with 1.75" high at 100 yards...this is a dead on hold out to about 275 for my load, I strongly recommend the 30 Berger HP, I use it with moly and Accurate 2700 which meters like water...and has not let me down even in -37F weather...for most fur hunters this is a super load, I think it would work for wolf although I usually use the swift with a 60 grain for them...

This is an excellent fox load as well, exits are small...most coyotes will have NO exit but will be homogenized on the inside.. Regards, Yoteman |

				.17 sight in

I've taken over 800 coyotes here in Western Montana with my 17 Rem and with all my varmint rifles I sight in 2 to 2.2 inches high at midrange. I don't worry what my POI is although I take note of it. If a coyote is at midrange and you hold dead on, you'll hit slightly high in the coyote but kill him just as well. A 2" midrange is 1 5/8 " high at 100 yards. I shoot 25 grains of Varget and a 29 grain Genco or 30 grain Berger. Montana Mike
