do the right thing

This up coming election as dumb as it is , we as canadians must get out to the polls and make use of one of the only rights we have left, the right to elect the least of the evils.

JackRabbit.................your are preaching to the converted. The urbanites are getting the hell pounded out of them about gun violence in Toronto. That is not helping our cause.

Sadly most of them are not bright enough to realize that about 80 % of the gun deaths are gang related and no one is standing up and saying 'hey, these aren't registered guns they are using'.............where is the NFA and the other shooting sports associations? I haven't seen any media coverage to suggest that they are out there fighting....yes ads in gun publications telling us what we already know....where are the ads to try and swing the thinking members of the general public in the right direction?

Maybe I have missed something but the firearms associations are strangely silent...............

Too many don't vote

So many people today,I hear say they won't vote because there is no one to vote for.Or it's just a waisted vote.I say it's a waisted vote if you don't vote.
But you are absolutely right Skyline,we don't seem to have a voice
as canadians for our rights. We as hunters are loosing our rights, and more and more are looked down at for hunting because we are gun owners.Meanwhile there are probably more illigal guns on the streets of our major cities then legal guns .Now when people are charged for offences involving illegal gus,and are charged with similar violations a month or two later.something is definately wrong.
All the more reason to " VOTE" and we all should . Ken.

I am just hoping that I am voting for the winning party this time, instead of the opposition...

Just think how us westerners feel... the election is usually won even before our polls close!

Toxic 111.....I hope so too! Even as a minority Conservative gov't I believe the NDP would back them in doing away with the long gun registry.

If that is the only thing that happens I can live with it! One way or another it is going to be a minority gov't and little will be accomplished as is usually the case with a minority gov't.

And you are right .......it really bothers me when our polls aren't even closed and it is already decided.

Thats because the west prominantely votes conservative, and the majority of voters live in ont.& que. combined.Historicaly the polls rely on how the west primarily votes.Right now ont. is under liberals. For 42 years ont. was conservative when federaly the liberals were in power. This is the first time ont. has liberals in power provincialy and federaly, and it sucks. Its never a good thing to have the same party provincialy as federaly. But nobody trusts Mr. Harper and thats how canada ended up with a liberal government again.I think what we need is a leadership race because none of the party leaders are trustworthy. So get out and vote. Ken.
