YaaaaHOOOOOOO!!

I drew a goat tag for Kenai Peninsula. All right AK nimrod, I need your help. My partner and I drew DG 352. It's not the highest in success, but should be an awesome hunt anyhow.

Man, I have been so busy lately. We have a new baby boy that was born Dec. 17, and I have been trapping like a mad man (48 fox so far). It's hard to keep up.

So, Nimrod, do you have some info for me? I want to know if there are air taxi out of Homer that are willing to take us in on floats or wheels. Have you hunted there before or do you know anyone that has? Any info is appreciated.

thanks

I HAVE NOT HUNTED IT I WILL CHECK WITH MY PILOT FRIEND AS TO WHO YOU SHOULD CONTACT. I HAVE A FRIEND HERE AT WORK THAT ALSO DREW THAT TAG THIS YEAR. THEY ARE TAKING TWO FISHING BOATS AROUIND TO THAT AREA. SEEMS TO ME THAT IS HOW MOST FOLKS I KNOW HAVE GOTTEN THERE. NOT SURE ABOUT THE FLYING IN THERE. I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I FIND OUT.

I have a question for you guys. I know that non-resident US hunters can go on unguided hunts in Alaska for most big game.....except brown bear, sheep etc.

Can a non-resident Canadian hunt n Alaska for moose and caribou without a guide? I have been told by US hunters I have guided in Canada that I could, but I thought it was only US non-residents that could do this.

I am interested in going there for a hunt and would like to know for sure. Anyone up for moose if it is legal?

Because you are from Canada, you are considered a non-resident, alien. You will have to have an Alaskan licensed guide to hunt any big game animal in our state. The hunters you guided were not correct. Sorry for the bad news.
