blue sky
i don't like to specialize so i'll just throw this out there.
who was the blue sky company or armory? i have a garand that is an absolute tack driver with a blue sky barrel on it. i wish i could say it is my innate shooting ability, but i'd be blowing smoke. whenever i want to show off, "very seldom" it is my "go to" gun, it's that good. just wondering if you all had any info or history on blue sky? thanx in advance.

I'm pretty sure Blue Sky was/is an importer that specialized in Garands and M1 carbines. The firearms were declared surplus and sold to them by countries like the Philippines which had originally received them from the U.S. years earlier. For whatever reason, Blue Sky marked the barrels of the "repatriated" firearms with their company logo.
Insofar as I know, they have never manufactured barrels. If somebody has different information, please jump in.

Blue Sky
Some years back there were a lot of M1 Garands and M1 Carbines imported from South Korea and sold under the Blue Sky name. Blue Sky was an importer. The condition of the arms varied widely and the prices were usually rather modest. The samples I examined were very well used and the stocks showed substantial wear and often a sanding effort.
