Ruger 10-22 Bull Barrel
I'm thinking about puting a bull barrel and new stock on one of my 10-22's. I know there are some barrels to stay away from. Does anyone have any experience with the Fajen barrel and stock combos?
Thank, DaleS |

Fajen never made barrels they were a stock maker that went out of business afew year ago, but there are still alot of their stocks out there, and they made first rate stocks. I have a Buttler Creek barrel on a 10-22 with Fajen wood and am happy with it. Their are alot of after market barrel that will out shoot the Buttler Creek barrel though. I have no trouble head shooting squirrels at 50 yrds. , but would not enter it in serious bench compitation.

Catfish,
I was considering a Green Mt. barrel. Do you know anything about that brand? DaleS |

I bought a thumb hole stock & a heavy barrel for mine. It works great, but I am going to get rid of it. I never use it. It shoots 1" groups @ 100 yds off the bench.
It is a great add on for someone that likes long range 22 shooting. My son has thae same set up and his is even more accurate than mine (better trigger is why).

my son has a heavy barrel (i do not recall which one but he wants to change it)10/22 in the bell & carlsen stock and it shoots dime size and smaller groups at 50 yards...as said before; ok for squirrels but not for serious bench rest...

Green Mountain used to make some of the best barrels on the market for muzzle loader and had a steller reputation befor they were bought out. Since they`ve been bought out I haven`t seen anything bad about them I would give them a chance.
