Polish Radom Handguns
I was chatting with a gun shop owner today and he was pleased to have gotten in an excellent Polish Radom 9mm handgun from WWII. I asked the price and he told me $600.00. That is a lot more than I am willing to pay. These are interesting handguns and are rarely seen for sale. All the best...

The Radom was a fine pistol, but it has no real history to set the price as high as you stated; "Good" Lugers go for $600, but not Polish Radoms hereabouts. Does your gunshop owner get in any other guns? What would he ask for a VG Luger? Does he price his military rifles very high? Adam

It depends
The market and prices for surplus military handguns is marching right off the charts. Polish Radoms do not appear very often around here and sell fast. The market sets the price. I saw a Mauser Model 1896 in VG condition with shoulder stock and a hang tag of $2,000.00. It sold.
Surplus rifles are not cheap if we are talking about 1903 or 1903A3 Springfields that used to sell for around $500.00 are not hitting $600.00. U.S 1917 Enfields are right there, too. An original Kar98k can easily bring $450.00. I saw a Kar98k that the FFL dealer received in for a customer and the invoice said the price was $1,500.00. Once again, the market sets the price. If you want to get chest pains, look at the prices on the auction websites such as AuctionArms, GunsAmerica or GunBroker. All the best... Gil
